Is it dessert? Is it breakfast?
Who cares, it’s delicious!!!
I haven’t made chia puddings in bloody FOREVER and I had some tiny, but very delicious strawberries that needed eating…
So it would be rude not to pop them into a little a pud!
Did you know that chia is one of the few plant-based proteins that contains all 9 amino acids to make it a complete protein?
(read more about the health benefits of chia seeds HERE)
These puddings take 5 minutes to prep and you’ll have breakfast or a snack/dessert ready for the following 2 days – Winner!
You will need:
(makes 2 puddings)
¾ Cup Milk of Your Choice (I used hemp)
¼ Cup Chia Seeds
2 Tbsp Agave Syrup
1 Banana, cubed or sliced
Handful Strawberries, diced
Dash Vanilla Extract
Dash Cinnamon Powder
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk and chia seeds for 10 seconds until it’s all light and bubbly.
(psssst…. I am sooooo into hemp milk right now. I find that it’s so much creamier than other plant based milks, and tastes great with everything!)
Next, add the agave, vanilla and cinnamon, and whisk again to combine.
Gently stir in the strawberry and banana pieces, and then pour/spoon the mix into your serving dishes.
Cover and refrigerate overnight for a thickly set, cold pudding.
